We operate high-quality residential EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children’s homes, providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support our Operations Manager and play a key role in training and developing a Deputy Manager in Corby to become a full-time Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of our EBD children’s homes specifically Corby.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Mentor and train the Deputy Manager in Corby, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to become a Registered Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices within the residential care sector.
  • Monitor performance and implement improvements to optimize the quality of care and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with various departments to drive operational success and strategic growth.
  • Support recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Handle operational challenges, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an operations or management role within residential children’s care, preferably EBD homes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in training and developing staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
