Deputy Operations Manager
We operate high-quality residential EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children’s homes, providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support our Operations Manager and play a key role in training and developing a Deputy Manager in Corby to become a full-time Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of our EBD children’s homes specifically Corby.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Mentor and train the Deputy Manager in Corby, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to become a Registered Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices within the residential care sector.
- Monitor performance and implement improvements to optimize the quality of care and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with various departments to drive operational success and strategic growth.
- Support recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Handle operational challenges, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an operations or management role within residential children’s care, preferably EBD homes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in training and developing staff.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding procedures, and industry regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
